The National Library Service (NLS) offers the cheapest public Internet service in Malawi. Users are allowed to browse the Internet at the Headquarters library at a fee of K5/minute.

Downloding information from the Internet, either through softcopy or hardcopy is acceptable as long as it is within the limitations of the Copyright Act. The National Library Service works alongside all other copyright organizations in the preservation of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

Printing from the Internet is allowed at a fee of K6/page.

The National Library Service will soon be offering Internet services in all its branches in Malawi to offer its clientelle a vast range of information resources.

Photocopying

Photocopying is allowed in the internet cafe at a fee of K6 per copy. Photocopying is however allowed within the limitations of the Copyright Act.
